D R I S S

Born and raised in Italy, Driss grew up immersed in the culinary traditions of his homeland, where food is a way of life. This passion for cooking inspired him to travel the world, perfecting his craft in some of the most renowned culinary destinations, including Melbourne, New York, and Ibiza.


From Cities to Spoons

In Melbourne, Driss had his first experience overseas, where he began his journey of discovering diverse flavors and techniques, gaining a deeper appreciation for the global evolution of Italian cuisine.

In New York, Driss honed his skills while working in a vibrant restaurant, mastering the art of Italian pasta dishes in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

In Ibiza, he had the unique opportunity to work at Heart, a restaurant co-owned by Ferran Adrià (considered one of the best chefs in the world) and Guy Laliberté (founder of Cirque du Soleil). This experience allowed Driss to immerse himself in avant-garde cuisine and witness the intersection of culinary innovation and performance art.


A New Chapter, Written in Indonesia

In 2020, Driss arrived in Indonesia, where he fell in love with its thriving food culture and warm hospitality. After working as an executive chef in Bali, he decided to bring his vision to life in Jakarta: a restaurant that embodies the artistry, tradition, and passion of true Italian cooking. That vision is Mamma Mia Tiramisù.




His Philosophy, on a Plate

Authenticity – Staying true to Italian roots with time-honored recipes passed down through generations.

Craftsmanship – Making mozzarella, cheeses, pasta, and more in-house to ensure unmatched freshness and care.

Quality – Using only the finest ingredients—from imported Italian flours to hand-raised sourdough starters.
